Shanghai’s Red Town

It’s weird I hadn’t heard or read about Red Town on Huaihai Road. Walked it to this place, and was pleasantly surprised. Reminded me of a way better but smaller version of M50 in a way. This place is a creative zone, with an artsy park containing funky sculptures in a wide green space, a few bar-cafes, some art galleries, a few fancy stores, quaint looking coffee shops and a lot of awesomeness! The park has a Mercedes made entirely of brick-stone. There is a giant laptop-abacus, a giant head of Mr. Einstein, a bunch of legs (yes legs) that you can walk around, and a lot of other weirdly cool stuff strewn around. Expect to see families picnicking here.

Address: 570 Huaihai Lu
